KEEPER LEAGUE
Allowed to keep 6 players and one must be a rookie from the prior year. After every year you must pick your 6keepers and post them on the board. The players not picked from each team will them be part of next years FA draft. We will also havea 2 round rookie draft before the FA draft. The rookies remaining will be able to be picked in the FA draft.

Schedules will be used by yahoo football and using yahoo playoffs. Tie breaker is total touchdowns

Drafts
The initial draft will be randomly selected and will be a snake draft. We will use a randomizer that i found somewhere on the net. Each years draft following will be worst to best record and no snake.

ACTIVITY
For Real Deal NFL Activity is goin to be the key. If you aren't active in the league then don't be shocked if you are replaced. Activity is real easy respond to trade offers either accept or reject in a reasonable amount of time and setting your lineups reguarly. If you don't set your lineups you are considered inactive. Its not that hard since most weeks you have 5 days to set them.
Just setting lineups and not being online to trade is not considered full activity. We are trying to make this the duece of RD football.

Free Agents
FA period starts Monday morning 12:01am. Here are the rules for FA.

1. You can claim a player whenever you want use yahoo to do so. CLAIM THEM ON YAHOO FIRST.

2. After claiming them on yahoo you have 24 hours to post that you claimed them on the message board in the transaction thread. IF YOU DONT POST THEM ON THE MESSAGE BOARD THAT YOU CLAIMED THEM YOU WILL LOSE THAT PLAYER.

Waivers
Waiver order will be supplied by yahoo.

Trades
All trades must be posted on the Real Deal message board and accpeted by all teasm involved. Trades are over turned if 4 league owner veto the trade. Trading deadline will be week 9 or week 10. Draft picks during the offseason can be traded up until the draft.

Rosters
Each league owner will be responsible for there own roster and must keep it updated.

Forgot this for Yahoo and scoring sorry about that makes defense a little more important.. thanks for bringing it to my attention... Shouldnt make a difference since the actual FA draft hasnt started ...

One of these rules needs to be looked at for next season.

Above it says that next years draft will be worst to first with no snake. I agree that it should be like that for the rookie draft. However, if it is like that for the regular draft then I think the league will fold. Why? Because the guys who did good this year will have pathetic teams next year. We are only keeping six players and there are 12 starting spots. My team would pick last in every round of the draft despite the fact that my keepers are not that much better than some of the guys picking at the top. The main reason I won this year is because I had a deep team from top to bottom...not necessarily because my top six were the best.

If you use a snake the following things will happen:
1.) The bottom teams will have first shot at the top rookies already in the rookie draft and they'll have first selection of the good free agents.
2.) The top teams will be rewarded for their good season by being down on the turn of the draft.
3.) The teams that don't do well early will have an incentive to keep trying (unlike this year) because they won't be gauranteed a stud team the next year for packing it in this year.

I'll still play if you do it like it says in the rules...but I would have ZERO chance to win in my opinion and that's not the way to start a year.
