What QB do you want me to pick up to start when one of my guys has a bye week? There are no starters are there. I found it funny the guy I beat is ranked ahead of me. Unless something crazy happens there is no way I lose to Medical Clinic.

Cuse was a real solid team for a while, and you are solid by the numbers (if you look at Dogs rankings) but there have been so many weeks where a solid performance was wasted for one reason or another. Yes there were 0 QBs in FA, doesn't mean there were 0 available. I alone had 4 last week...and would've easily traded one for peanuts (in the case of Brad Johnson or Seneca Wallace). Your team is very talented, there's no question, but until your roster is filly utilized week to week I can't bump you up the boards, sorry.

Week 8 Power Rankings: This week a lot of the good teams won and a lot of the bad teams lost. With one notable exception, not a whole lot of shuffling this week. So here we go:
1. Gotham City General Assaults (1, Won vs. Browns, now 6-2) Yeah, Browns aren’t the greatest team in the league. But the big guys keep on contributing for G.A., and now the team has a solid 6 game winning streak. Pros: Clinton “MVP” Portis and his 26 led the way (did you know he’s leading the NFL in rush yards by like 250 yards?) while Jamal Lewis and Larry Fitzgerald pitched in as well (23 a piece). Cons: QBs = 19 points. And that was with J.T. O’Sullivan, who is now out of a job. These are trying times for G.A., and next week will say a lot about where this team goes. If he can figure out the QB situation, it’ll be deep into the playoffs.
2. Miami Dolphins (3, Won versus Crush, now 6-2) Crush is a team on the fall, but still a decent team, and the Fins put up big numbers. To be honest, you’re still (even 8 weeks in) my biggest surprise team, but as long as you put up 190+ then you’re going to keep winning I guess. Pros: Santana Moss dropped 40 pts on an awful Detroit DEF and Tony Gonzalez had one of his better starts this season with 21 pts. Mewelde Moore, who sadly will most likely be a backup next week, went for 21. Cons: Julius Jones (5) and Ocho Cinco (8) are showing their true selves, while Josh Morgan was a miss with 0 pts. I don’t know how this team does it…kudos dude, kudos.
3. Pawtucket Colts (4, Won versus Avengers, now 5-3) Facing one of the leagues better teams, Colts did not disappoint, winning a very important game to go 2 over .500 and, more importantly, keep the division lead. Pros: LT goes for 40…that’s what we’re used to seeing. Same with Steve Smith, who had his second straight strong game with 35 pts. Cons: Jason Witten’s 1/injury has got to hurt…he’s a big hole to replace if he’s out for any length of time (and the guy did get in game x-rays, that sucks). But once injuries like his and Romo’s pass (read: playoff time), this team will be quite the handful. I’m thinking it takes 200+ to beat them at that point.
4. Pittsburgh Dukes (5, Won versus Jets, now 4-4) Jets are a feisty team, so it was nice of Dukes to stay strong during a potential trap game and rise to a .500 record. Well done. Pros: As Dukes himself told me, “SJax and AP sat and I still won.” Boldin, Moss, and Andre Johnson led the way, showing that just about any position on Dukes’ team could win him a game given the team’s talent. Cons: I’m curious as to why he started Fargas over Donnie Avery, but a win is a win (and Avery isn’t proven) so that’s just being kind of picky. Like Colts, Dukes is a team that will be mighty dangerous come playoffs.
5. Scotland Yarddogs (2, Lost versus SC, now 4-4) Yarddogs keeps losing to teams that I thought he could beat. I guess it’s the curse of the NFC South....no one in that division is destined to be that good this year. Pros: WRs contributed heavily in this game, with 3 going over 20 pts. Cons: 20 pts from the QBs and 2 pts from Jonathan Stewart were the lows. 162 pts isn’t all that bad really, it just isn’t championship good either.
6. Cape Canaveral Avengers (6, Lost versus Colts, now 4-4) Colts is a great team, so losing to them isn’t awful. But this team’s lack of talent is beginning to show, even with Ginn Jr.’s breakout game. Pros: Since I may never be able to say this again, Game Ball for Ted Ginn Jr., who went nuts with 175 receiving yards and 35 pts. Welcome to fantasy relevance. Cons: Avengers’ other WR/TEs scored 24 pts…nice. And he started Cedric Benson. And the guys I traded him (DA, MJD, Santonio) combined for only 24 pts. And he started Cedric freakin Benson (repeated for emphasis…the man is awful).
7. Syracuse Crush (8, Lost versus Dolphins, now 4-4) Three losses in a row…wow how the mighty have fallen. At least this one was to one of the league’s better teams. Pros: Lance Moore leads the way with 24 pts. He’s gotta be high up on the list of “where the f*** did he come from?” players of this year. Cons: 10 of 12 players scored in double digits, but only one was for more than 20, and that won’t win you many games against talented teams. And TO is being killed by Tony Romo’s injury, as he scored a whopping 6 pts.
8. New York Jets (7, Lost versus Dukes, now 4-4) A toss up between putting Cuse or Jets here, but Cuse having a better week helped him out. So sorry Jets, it was close. Pros: Dallas Clark showed up for 30 pts, that was a nice surprise. Cons: 4 receivers combined for 19 pts. You’d expect that out of Chansi Stuckey but not Torry Holt. Another less talented team that has been playing way beyond it’s means as of late.
9. Delaware Blue Hens (9, Tied versus Medical Clinic, now 3-4-1) Okay, so you didn’t lose to Medical Clinic. But a tie is still awful…granted he scored high, but Blue Hens continues to fall. Pros: QBs combine for 49 pts, starting RBs for 47, you’d figure you win a lot of those games. Cons: Actually no real cons on this team (other than Vernon Davis who has sucked all year). Just unfortunate, a solid score gets tied by a team playing over it’s head.
10. SC Showstoppers (10, Won versus Yarddogs, now 4-4) Is he still paying attention to this league? That’s the second week in a row where he has massive byes and an IR QB starting. And he actually won this week…wow. Pros: David Garrard, Frank Gore, DeAngelo Williams and Roddy White all went over 30 pts. Cons: Only 4 (of the other 8) guys even scored pts. That’s absurd…can there be some rule that at least ¾ of your team has to be active for the win to count?
11. Atlanta Browns (11, Lost versus G.A., now 2-6) Almost dropped myself back down to 12th after scoring the least pts. But there were a few bright spots (maybe). Pros: Matt Schuab had 26, and Megatron and Jason Campbell each had 18. Yay Josh Brown with 11! Cons: Everyone else had less than 10 pts, with Raiders DEF and their 0 leading the way. Welcome to rebuilding mode.
12. Louisville Medical Clinic (12, Tied versus Blue Hens, now 1-6-1) The Louisville Brian Westbrooks had a huge game this week, almost getting into the win column for once. Pros: 53 pts will do a world of good for you, no matter how bad your team is. Plus Peyton had 23. Cons: 4 other double digits, 6 single digits…Louisville and Atlanta are going to be battling for the number one pick for the rest of the season I think.
Record on Last Week's Predictions: 3-2-1 Record on Season's Predictions: 18-23-1
Week 8 Predictions: Cuse over SC (If you don’t get back in the win column in this one…I don’t know what to say man, that just sucks). Yarddogs over Blue Hens Dukes over Colts (A big game, potentially a superbowl matchup, but it won’t be close with Romo/Witten out and LT on Bye) Dolphins over Browns
Game of the Week #1 - Jets over Gotham (Because someone has to end the 6 game winning streak, and with G.A. missing a QB this looks like the week) Game of the Week #2 – Brian Westbrooks over Avengers (Close based on the numbers, but the elite back gives Medical Clinic the edge)
And Playoff Predictions (Not a weekly thing, only because we’re halfway through the NFL Season and more than halfway through ours):
NFC Colts Cuse Dogs Colts win out (Cuse is falling, Dogs is falling, Colts wins easily)
AFC G.A. Dolphins Dukes Dolphins win out (G.A. and Dukes are so solid, but Dolphins wins every time I say they won’t, so why wouldn’t they pull this off?)
Superbowl Colts over Dolphins (Rodgers/Romo/LT vs. Ryan/Pennington/Julius Jones. As if you didn’t guess already)

Week 8 pre - election say no to Socialism power poll
Pittsburgh Dukes 0.0416 (Dukes dominate offense is finally starting to post wins and not just points) Miami Dolphins 0.0156 (last in the league in points against, solid matchups could lower this team's rank) Pawtucket Colts 0.0149 (Colts moves to #3 with a quality offensive showing) Scotland YardDogs 0.0128 (YardDogs are scuffling, now leading the league in PA) Cape Canaveral Avengers 0.0119 (loss to the Colts moves them down but not out of the top 5) Delaware Blue Hens 0.0097 (last week's big jump too much, 31pts on the bench leads to a tie...ties suck) Syracuse Crush 0.0093 (spot on with #7 self analysis) Gotham City Generals 0.0089 (#8 in PF, #11 in PA, this team is feasting on matchups, #1? time will tell) New York Jets 0.0062 (tough matchup pushes the Jets into .500 territory) S.C. Showstoppers 0.0052 (breaks out his best game of the year with 181, not good timing for the YardDogs) Atlanta Browns 0.0030 (101 wins low man on totem pole for this week and puts the Browns back in the hunt for #1) Louisville Male Nurses 0.0025 (seeing Browns flounder, the Nurses bench Matt (powered by powder) Jones to ensure the tie!?!, ties suck, see Hens)
