Haha I give you credit...you almost took over 11th this week since you put up like 70 more pts than me. If you outscore me this week you'll probably move up, even if we both lose.

Week 9 Power Rankings: Gotham finally loses (called it) and the shift of power is on. A new 1st place and a new 12th place = a pretty different board this week. And lastly, knowing that Dukes doesn’t read this if he doesn’t check Real Deal, poopty peupty pants. The rankings:
1. Pawtucket Colts (3, Won versus Dukes, now 6-3) I said that Colts could probably beat Dukes come playoff time but not without LT and Romo. Well Colts still scored 197 pts and pulled out the big victory…imagine how good he’ll be with a healthy team! Pros: Ray Rice dropped 34 and should continue to see action while McGahee is crippled, and Camarillo proved a good pickup with 22 pts. Cons: Jason Witten went for 0 but that could be expected, not too much wrong with this team otherwise though. Rhodes’ 4 was a low but he was in the lineup in place of LT so it’s understandable. This is a very very dangerous team and it’s only just getting hot.
2. Miami Dolphins (2, Won versus Browns, now 7-2) The Browns are no contest right now as they’re clearly looking towards the future. But 7 wins is the most of any team in the league right now and so Dolphins stays high in the rankings, even with a bad week. Pros: Jay Cutler’s 20 was the highest for a position player, but the name of the game was consistency as 8 guys had double digit point totals. Cons: Santana Moss went for 2 and Michael Bennett had 0 for the Bucs. This was a miss week for a hit or miss team that really can’t afford a 150 point performance come playoff time.
3. Gotham City General Assaults (1, Lost versus Jets, now 6-3) Yarddogs poll said that Gotham was feasting on matchups. After getting blown away by a lesser team this week, one has to wonder if that’s pretty true. Pros: Portis does it again with 24 points, but only 3 other positions had double digit scoring. Cons: QBs = 8 points. I said if he figures out the QB position then he’ll go far, but so far it’s looking really bad for Gotham if this keeps up.
4. Cape Canaveral Avengers (5, Won versus Medical Clinic, now 5-4) Same words I gave Dolphins, as the league’s 2 worst teams aren’t much of a challenge. But 255 points in any week is solid, especially this week where Medical Clinic actually did something for once. Pros: With 11 in double digits and 7 over 20, everyone contributed in this win. But Cedric “Awful at Life” Benson’s 27 was probably the nicest surprise here. Cons: Brandon Marshall went for 5, continuing the disturbing trend of Eddie Royal becoming Cutler’s number one WR in Denver. But otherwise a real solid week…similarly hit or miss like Dolphins is but hard to count out a team that can drop 250 a week.
5. Scotland Yarddogs (5, Won versus Blue Hens, now 5-4) Proving once again to have a good but not great team, Yarddogs pulls out his 3rd squeaker of the year by 3 points. Do all of your games really have to be this close? Pros: MVP is Roethlisberger for scoring the winning points on Monday pre injury, but also a big shout out to the Bills for scoring more than 0 pts, a Yarddogs record (practically anyways). Cons: Not an impressive win as a bunch of guys were under 10, and Roethlisberger’s injury could hurt a lot, as Kerry Collins is solid but not a spectacular option at QB.
6. Pittsburgh Dukes (4, Lost versus Colts, now 4-5) Colts just moved to number 1, so it’s not like it was a bad loss. But a lot of weak plays combined with injuries and a big game from Avengers moves Dukes down a few slots. Pros: AP had 33 and Boldin had 24, finally it looks like the stars are falling into place. Cons: SJax had 3, upstart Avery had just 5, and Brett Farve continues to look average, scoring only 8 points. Have to wonder if choosing him at the end of round 1 was a good choice given all of the higher scoring QBs who came afterwards. But hindsight in 20/20 I suppose.
7. New York Jets (8, Won versus Gotham, now 5-4) Again a toss up between Jets and Cuse at 7, but this week Jets ended a team’s 6 game winning streak while Cuse beat a team who tends to start Damon Huard (on the IR for like 4 weeks now), so Jets gets the love. Pros: Donald Driver’s 33 was huge, as were Thomas Jones’ 26 and Steve Slaton’s 23. Cons: 0 from Justin Gage hurts, Kyle Orton’s injury hurts more. But at least he has a backup QB in Cassel. Bigger question is why didn’t Hightower start? And if he’s not going to start, can I have him please?
8. Syracuse Crush (7, Won versus SC, now 5-4) Solid team meets guy who hardly edits his lineup…hello a victory for the falling Crush. Pros: 52 points from Giants RBs, I wouldn’t expect that every week lol. Cons: Crush actually had 10 guys in double digits, but it’s hard to count on guys like Nate Washington (11) and Derrick Ward (23) to contribute. Not a bad showing, but one of the league’s more average teams.
9. Delaware Blue Hens (9, Lost versus Yarddogs, now 3-5-1) Heartbreaking loss. What’s more heartbreaking is knowing that QBs were all over the trading wire this week and that if you had started just about any trade acquired QB you would have won. No love for those who don’t love transactions. Pros: 26 points for Forte is expected, 23 for Braylon is a nice surprise. Cons: Mentioned the QB thing, but also Harry Douglas getting the start over Matt Jones (who was cleared to play before game time) was a bad call.
10. SC Showstoppers (10, Lost versus Crush, now 4-5) Maybe he reads this, because Huard finally left his lineup. But starting 3 guys who are out will still make you lose, and the lowest score of the week nearly dropped you in the rankings. You’re lucky the last 2 teams suck. Pros: Tyler Thigpen was a great pickup and went for 29 points. Then Garrard had 14 and Roddy White had 10. Cons: This is getting ridiculous. Last week 8 of 12 guys scored, this week 7 of 12 guys score. Can we do something to make SC competitive? He’s not a bad team…just bad at starting actual players. It’s not like he couldn’t have dropped John Beck and Damon Huard for…um…ANYONE.
11. Louisville Medical Clinic (12, Lost versus Avengers, now 1-7-1) Another big score for Louisville, though sadly another week where the other team scored highly as well. But this team is finally showing signs of life. Pros: Ronnie Brown and Anthony Gonzalez both had 23 points to lead the way. But 9 of 12 guys had double digits in all. Cons: DeSean Jackson was hurt by the return of Kevin Curtis and went for only 4 points. But otherwise, nice showing Louisville.
12. Atlanta Browns (11, Lost versus Dolphins, now 2-7) Browns has officially traded himself out of contention. Pros: Calvin Johnson’s 24 was nice, and Rashied Davis’ 18 really belongs on a team who is going to make the playoffs. Cons: One other score of over 10, and Matt Schuab’s injury just put the nail in the coffin. This team is awful.
Record on Last Week's Predictions: 4-2 Record on Season's Predictions: 22-25-1
Week 8 Predictions: Blue Hens over Browns Colts over SC Dukes over Medical Clinic Crush over Generals (because Portis is on the Bye and he’s the heartbeat of Generals) Dolphins over Yarddogs And in the game of the week, Jets over Avengers. This game has playoff implications written all over it as both teams are 5-4 and a game back in their division. And it features the debut of Brady Quinn for Jets while Avengers will have to scramble to replace Derek Anderson (I’ve got Shaun Hill available if you want him lol).

Info I got was Jones was going to get suspended so I benched him. Also next year I think we should change it to 1 QB starting with all the teams you shouldn't have guys like Seneca Wallace starting. Prepare for a beat down this week Browns.

I do kind of like the one QB idea, it sucks that a lot of teams lose their weeks simply because they couldn't find 2 bodies to put in the QB spot. I'd be a fan of smaller rosters in general personally, because there are so many chumps starting in this league lol. And I understand on Jones,. that's a tough one. And I'm prepared lol. Get ready to take on Drew Stanton and Shaun Hill!!!!

I am of the opinion that we should keep two QBs and the rules as they are. I planned my draft and trades that have already been completed this year on the basis of the need for two QB's for many years to come. Its not fair to change the rules in the middle of the season

I mean that's the other side of the coin...I too have 2 pretty good QBs and was planning on getting a third early next year...to switch to one really favors teams with one sick QB and a lot of talent elsewhere. Like Dukes would have Brees and wouldn't have to worry about Brett Farve sucking it up. I am a fan of trimming the bench a few spots, maybe 3 or 4, because most of the league has enough backups that waivers aren't an issue. The best leagues I've played in make you work with small lineups so that strategy becomes a bigger part of the game when you have to make decisions. Anyone can draft 4 QBs and be set at QB for the season, not everyone will fare as well when forced to make a crucial cut for that 3rd QB when a bye week comes up.

I have two solid QB in McNabb and Rivers, but with 12 teams in the league with the potential of injuries and bye weeks it is hard to juggle around 3-4 QB on your roster. I think we should switch back to yahoo too as I hate this ESPN format.

Week 9 Post election poll That giant sucking noise you hear (gratuitis Perot reference for the youngsters) is the sound of your money being vacuumed up by the Democratic wealth redistribution Cape Canaveral Avengers 0.0185 (biggest surprise #1 since well the Obama Crimson Tide, man that Saban sure runs a helluva campaign) Pittsburgh Dukes 0.0164 (most PF, most PA, tough matchups has this team underwater for now) Miami Dolphins 0.0162 (scoring a ton, but still cupcaking the matchups. Has faced nearly 400pts less than Dukes) Pawtucket Colts 0.0111 (good win against a good team, but slides to #4 with CCA's big leap) Delaware Blue Hens 0.0108 (polls are funny, strength of schedule moves Hens over Dogs despite losing to) Scotland YardDogs 0.0084 (Dogs win another squeaker, poll boss is unimpressed) Gotham City Generals 0.0079 (QB's total 8 pts, but of course, move up a spot) New York Jets 0.0074 (Jets pull a YardDog, win game, remain behind last weeks victim) Syracuse Crush 0.0071 (Crush double down on Showstoppers, judges penalize them for beating a girls team) S.C. Showstoppers 0.0062 (offensively this team is a disaster, almost 600pts behind top scorer Dukes) Atlanta Browns 0.0034 (Browns trades entire team for used Ford Pinto because he liked the Obama decals, still not worst team in the league because) Louisville Male Nurses 0.0028 (its just Louisville's year to be the league pinata)

Haha hey I loved that Pinto. I also support a switch back to yahoo...boo to the espn format and boo to all of my leagues not being in one place.

No way dude. ESPN is way too busy and has slower load times for my computer (not by a ton but by enough). I don't like that they give you more info (I like having to actually research stuff to stay competitive) and I don't like the way their roster page is set up (yahoo's is prettier to me).

Hahaha I wrote that knowing it would get called out. But seriously...it's a lot neater of a site. Only plus to espn is that our crazy trades work on it really easily, otherwise I like yahoo way better. It's too busy dude.
